A hundred shades of… green! That‘s right, the students from Bad Doberan created their own vision of the sustainable city of the future and this is their motto. Schuldorf Bergstraße, bilingual Biology Grundkurs Q1, teacher Ms. Oldenburg
„Superstainable“ – this is the name of a board game that was created as part of the action plan of a course at Schuldorf Bergstraße. They say: “Realizing that our peers already know quite a bit about sustainability in theory and seeing at the same time that actually living a sustainable lifestyle seems to be a challenge. We believe that we can raise awareness within our school’s community by having more and more people play this game and talk about it, discussing sustainability issues while getting you inspired to act.”
Goethe-Gymnasium Frankfurt, M., bilingual biology course 10th grade, teacher Ms. Schröter
The students at the Goethe-Gymnasium in Frankfurt want to raise awareness on the impacts of buying non-seasonal or non-regional products. They worked as a team to create a blog and to inform people at the shopping mall of their city. The centerpiece of their action plan is a mobile app called “ Greenate”. This app shows its users where to find the nearest store, restaurant, or market selling regional and organic products.
